Heavy metal concentration (Cu, Zn, Fe, Mn, Ni) was evaluated in sediment samples of Rupingazi river during the wet and dry seasons. In this study, were collected from twenty sampling points along river. The heavy levels using Atomic Absorption Spectrphotometer. The obtained data analyzed one-way analysis variance. range copper found to be 4.68- 12.69 mg/kg for season 0.98-24.10mg/kg season. mean values iron 1422-6145.33 1254-5866.67 Nickel 0.72- 30.73 2.63-12.48 Concentration manganese 48.03-411.20 6.15-248.35 Zinc 26.29-167.10 4.82-28.39 Zinc, Manganese, Iron Copper not beyond USEPA recommended limits.
