Particulate matter from forest fires (PMFF) is an environmental pollutant causing oxidative stress, inflammation, and cancer cell metastasis due to the presence of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Perilla seed meal contains high levels polyphenols, including rosmarinic acid (RA). The aim this study determine anti-oxidative anti-inflammation, anti-metastasis actions rich fraction (RA-RF) perilla its underlying molecular mechanisms in A549 cells exposed PMFF. PMFF samples were collected via air sampler at University Phayao, Thailand, their PAH content analyzed using GC-MS. Fifteen compounds detected significantly induced intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, mRNA expression pro-inflammatory cytokines, MMP-9 activity, invasion, migration, overexpression c-Jun p-65-NF-κB, Akt phosphorylation. Additionally, RA-RF reduced ROS IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α, COX-2. could also suppress phosphorylation activity c-Jun, Akt. Our findings revealed that has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, properties signaling pathways. may be further developed as inhalation agent for prevention lung inflammation by PM exposure.

Rosmarinic acid (RA) is a polyphenolic metabolite found in various culinary, dietary sources, and medicinal plants like Coleus scutellarioides (Linn) Benth., Lavandula angustifolia Linn., Mellisa officinalis Origanum vulgare Rosmarinus Zataria multiflora Boiss. Zhumeria majdae Rech. F. Apart from its therapeutic values, RA an important anticancer phytochemical owing to multi-targeting mechanism. These properties provide scope for RA’s uses beyond traditional use as source. However, oral bioavailability limited due poor solubility permeability. This impedes efficacy treating cancer. Indeed, recent years, tremendous efforts have been put towards the development of nanoformulations this research initial stage bringing nanoparticle into market itself associated with many issues such stability, toxicity, scale-up issues. Considering these pitfalls during formulation overcoming them would surely new face nanomedicine treat A literature search was conducted systematically review biological extraction techniques, mechanisms through which showed multiple effects. Various nanocarriers pertaining activity are also discussed review.

Natural products used for their health-promoting properties have accompanied the evolution of humanity. Nowadays, as an effort to scientifically validate effects described by traditional medicine, ever-growing number bioactivities are being natural and phytochemicals that constitute them. Among them, medicinal plants more specifically Thymus genus spp., arise already present in diet with high acceptance, a source pharmacological value. Phenolic acids, flavonoid glycoside derivatives, terpenoids from spp. been ability modulate cell death survival pathways, much-valued pharmaceutical industry, continually sought-after new formulations prevent undesired or control proliferation. these, wound treatment, protection endogenous/exogenous toxic molecules, induction selective death, such search anti-tumoral agents, main objectives. This review summarizes discusses studies on well compounds extracts, regard involving modulation signaling pathways. In addition, regarding bioactive molecules cellular molecular targets were also reviewed. Concerning proliferation, themselves option designed healing against chemicals-induced toxicity. However, extracts some regulate presenting activity. Therefore is rich nutraceutical

Cancer stem cells (CSCs) in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) are closely related to tumorigenesis and metastasis. Thioridazine (THZ) is a usual phenothiazine antipsychotic drug that can destroy CSCs. We aimed explore whether THZ could sensitize metastatic TNBC cells, especially the CSCs, carboplatin (CBP) treatment. Metastatic 4T1 tumor-bearing mice were treated with CBP as monotherapy or combination therapy. MTT, flow cytometry, electron microscopy, immunohistochemistry western blotting applied assess cell viability, apoptosis, mitochondrial morphology relevant protein levels, respectively. Tumor size lung metastasis under different treatments well of residual tumor from each group monitored. combined inhibited proliferation induced apoptosis by inhibiting PI3K-AKT-mTOR pathway activating estrogen receptor stress. also showed strong activity against significantly destroyed relieved burden; Our data demonstrated treatment this therapy may provide bright strategy for targeting both

Rosmarinic acid (RA) has demonstrated anticancer effects on several types of malignancies. However, whether RA promotes the effect cisplatin colorectal cancer cells remains sketchy. This study aimed to explore potentiates cytotoxicity against colon and underlying mechanism. Cell viability, cell cycle progression, apoptosis was evaluated using sulforhodamine B (SRB) assay, flow cytometric analysis, propidium iodide/Annexin V staining, respectively. Western blotting utilized analyze signaling pathways. Our findings showed that significantly enhanced inhibitory viability induction lines DLD-1 LoVo. Signaling cascade analysis revealed combination jointly induced Bax caspase activation while downregulating Bcl-2, glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4), SLC7A11 in cells. Moreover, inhibitor ferroptosis reversed inhibition response combined with cisplatin. Collectively, these demonstrate enhances cells, attributing promotion ferroptosis.
