Usnea is one of the largest and most diverse genera fruticose lichens with global distribution. Endolichenic fungi, which thrive within lichen thalli, have emerged as a promising source bioactive compounds, ability to synthesise variety metabolites biopharmaceutical potential. Pine trees play a crucial role in the forests of Sichuan Province, boasting rich species diversity and lengthy evolutionary history. However, research investigation on fungi associated with pine are insufficient. This study investigated hyphomycetes China. During survey, we collected five specimens from branches bark Pinus. Five barcodes were selected for sequenced, including ITS, SSU, LSU, TEF1, RPB2. Morphological examination multi-locus phylogenetic analyses revealed three new species, viz. Catenulostroma pini sp. nov. within Teratosphaeriaceae, Kirschsteiniothelia longisporum Kirschsteiniotheliaceae, Sporidesmiella sichuanensis Junewangiaceae, two known Paradictyoarthrinium diffractum P. hydei Paradictyoarthriniaceae, which host records Pinus species. pini, distinguished other genus by its unique morphology, has conidial morphologies: small terminal helicoconidia, scolecoconidia many septa, phragmoconidia conidia. longer spores when compared to genus. According analysis, formed an independent clade sister S. aquatica juncicola, differences size.

During a survey of microfungi associated with forest plants, four specimens related to Kirschsteiniothelia were collected from decaying wood in Guizhou, Hainan and Yunnan Provinces, China. species have sexual asexual forms. They are commonly found as saprophytes on been reported disease-causing pathogens humans well. In this study, we introduce three novel ( K. bulbosapicalis , dendryphioides longirostrata ) describe new host record for atra based morphology multi-gene phylogenetic analyses concatenated ITS, LSU SSU rDNA sequence data. These taxa produced dendryphiopsis- or sporidesmium-like morph detailed descriptions micromorphological illustrations provided. Furthermore, provide checklist the accepted species, including information, habitat preferences, molecular data, existing morphological type, country origin corresponding references.

Fungal diversity is rapidly expanding, with numerous species being discovered worldwide. While plant debris a habitat favoring the survival and multiplication of various microbial species. In this study, several kirschsteiniothelia-like isolates were collected from dead branches unidentified perennial dicotyledonous plants. Based on morphological examination phylogenetic analyses combined ITS, LSU, SSU sequences data using maximum-likelihood Bayesian inference, three new Kirschsteiniothelia, namely K.ganzhouensis, K.jiangxiensis, K.jiulianshanensis, introduced, one known species, K.inthanonensis, was recorded for first time China. To improve our comprehensive knowledge all accepted Kirschsteiniothelia characteristics, sequence data, asexual morphs, habitat, host, locality are listed.
