Blockchain has emerged as a potential data-sharing structure in healthcare because of its decentralization, immutability, and traceability. However, use the biomedical domain is yet to be investigated comprehensively, especially from aspects implementation evaluation, by existing blockchain literature reviews. To address this, our review assesses applications implemented practice evaluated with quantitative metrics.

Blockchain technology presents a promising solution for healthcare, addressing key challenges like data breaches, patient control, and interoperability. This paper analyzes blockchain applications in three areas: electronic health records, pharmaceutical supply chain traceability, clinical trials. The authors explore security concerns, regulatory compliance, smart contract vulnerabilities, proposing solutions advanced cryptography improved consensus mechanisms. Real-world examples, such as Medicalchain Chronicled's MediLedger, demonstrate enhanced transparency security. However, adoption faces barriers scalability, computational costs, complexities. study also highlights ethical issues around ownership suggests future research into improving interoperability integrating technologies artificial intelligence internet of medical things better healthcare outcomes.

The use of advanced computer technology in the healthcare industry has potential to improve patient care and therapeutic results. goal this project is data security, privacy, decentralisation by integrating blockchain Internet Things (IoT) technologies. adoption IoT devices makes it possible gather analyse sensory real–time; however centralised processing storage present problems such as manipulation privacy issues. study investigates creation a decentralised IoT-based e-healthcare system that takes these issues into account utilising technology. In addition, paper also emphasises how smart contract Smart contracts provide safe user authentication for device access, assuring responsibility, traceability, integrity. potentially game-changing applications healthcare, enhanced interoperability, patient-cantered care, reduced administrative procedures, increased transaction transparency. report highlights significance managing pharmaceutical supply chains, considering essential influence on welfare safety. Effective management business because chain interruptions or breaches can have serious implications. level research blockchain-enabled examined comprehensively using PRISMA framework records from Scopus database. three most important topics are cloud computing, fog medical services. results highlight role played enhancing security industry. Real-time gathering, precise diagnoses, individualised treatments, simplified procedures all made integration IoT. Additionally, scalable solutions insightful decision-making provided via machine learning, contracts.

In Peru, there is currently no integrated electronic health record (EHR) system that can be automatically shared between healthcare facilities. This leads to increased service costs due duplicated examinations and records, as well additional time required manage patients’ clinical information. One alternative for ensuring the secure interoperability of EHRs while preserving data privacy use blockchain technology. However, existing works consider a pre-established format exchanging EHRs, which not applicable when systems have different formats, case in Peru. work proposes an architecture web application heterogeneous systems. The proposed includes homologation EHR with rapid resources medical attention using FHIR HL7, vice versa, achieve interoperability. Additionally, it utilizes technology ensure security privacy. was tested simulation demonstrate clinics clear, secure, efficient manner. addition, survey conducted 30 patients regarding adoption, another 10 doctors from public hospital Peru usability. results very high level adoption usability them all. Unlike other studies, proposal does necessitate alterations words, presents feasible cost-effective addressing issue hospitals
