This study examines the potential impacts of Metaverse, extended reality, and artificial intelligence on tourism sector. The current use these technologies in is discussed with examples, possible risks, criticisms are evaluated. data was obtained through in-depth interviews 28 experts who were reached using snowball sampling technique. After examining interview records content analysis presenting recurring expressions participants a narrative form, it concluded that support marketing, increase guest satisfaction, efficient training tourists employees, advantageous for minority groups, can be more environmentally sustainable, create new business lines. By providing concrete examples fact-based suggestions, research informs stakeholders how to integrate technologies, which still full uncertainties, into their work efficiently.

Purpose The metaverse is a transformative platform with the potential to reshape hospitality and tourism by promoting sustainable practices. Despite growing interest, connection between sustainability remains unclear. This study aims uncover structure of this domain, offering insights into emerging research within context. Design/methodology/approach applied bibliometric analysis examine 246 articles in Web Science (WoS) Scopus databases, spanning period from 2011 2024. Network was then performed using VOSviewer as part evaluation process. Findings major findings comprise leading authors, countries, journals, developments, future directions relevant field. Finally, we categorized three main streams: (1) “Technological Advancements Sustainable Tourism,” (2) “Geospatial Technology Development Hospitality (3) “Immersive Tourism Experiences Metaverse.” Originality/value one first offer thorough holistic review nexus tourism, which will guide exploration uncharted aspects
