This paper describes a case study of instructional strategies employed in collaborative online international learning experience between students from Colombia and the US to increase their understanding cultural tolerance. The aimed examine student perception intercultural skills development, particularly recognizing both similarities differences, as previous research suggests that struggle with identifying focusing only on exchanges. Introduction The Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) is described as a pedagogical experience linking the classrooms of two or more higher education institutions across culturally and linguistically differentiated regions. COIL intends to provide academics students with ability communicate collaborate peers internationally through online interactions. During Fall 2021, this collaboration involved Universitat Jaume I (UJI), located in city Castelló de la Plana Spain Algoma University, on traditional territory Anishinaabek Nation, well homelands Métis Nation. student profiles, each institutions’ geographical locations, linguistic, cultural critical approaches teaching learning provided ample opportunities challenges for development implementation experience. Global virtual teams (GVT) have emerged as a valuable model for facilitating exchange (VE) in business and educational settings. A comprehensive four-year longitudinal study spanning from 2018 to 2021 investigated of self-efficacy that include discernment, resourcefulness, diverse options, creative thinking, fairness, emotional regulation, culture. Our sample consisted participants surveyed before the GVT experience (n=584) after (n=399), representing learners six countries. The results unveiled several key findings: (a) was influenced by multiple factors, with fairness emerging more significant contributor experience; (b) irrespective experience, individualist countries demonstrated higher levels compared those collectivist countries, suggesting cultural dimensions play role shaping learners' self-efficacy, regardless their participation activities; (c) when controlling pandemic, there specific impact learner it related global learning. Purpose The research paper explores the role of faculties in teaching collaborative online international learning (COIL) courses as a pedagogical tool toward Internationalization at Home. study examines what motivates to teach COIL and is their experience designing delivering course for Design/methodology/approach conducting through qualitative 16 selected purposive sampling. verbatim transcripts interviews taken were analyzed Braun Clarke thematic analysis.
