Recently, ChatGPT, a cutting-edge large language model, has emerged as powerful Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tool with the capacity to influence education. ChatGPT provides ample opportunities for learners, researchers, educators, and practitioners achieve intended learning outcomes in various disciplines. This special issue examines diverse applications implications of GenAI tools including education, highlighting their potential enhance teaching across contexts. Key findings from seventeen studies collected this demonstrate that can significantly improve educational by providing personalized feedback, facilitating learning, supporting both qualitative quantitative research methodologies. The emphasize GenAI’s increase learner engagement motivation, yet also underscore need robust ethical guidelines human oversight due issues privacy, bias, accuracy. highlights challenges faces, such limitations contextual understanding its impact on critical thinking skills. In addition, it foundational framework exploring effective responsible integration, aiming enrich experiences. We conclude future should focus longitudinal effects outcomes, developing frameworks use, ensuring adaptability populations promote inclusive practices.

Abstract With the help of virtual reality technology, study first conducted a preliminary discussion on language learning, and found that technology is an important tool to promote new learning. The constructs model English teaching with basis which moderated mediator constructed as independent variable, students’ cognitive load spatial ability moderating learning effect dependent variable puts forward relevant hypotheses explore immersive experimental design was carried out 122 students from University H subjects, divided into group general group. results showed significant main environment (F(1,31)=4.01,p=0.05), indicating use has impact Among learners different abilities, high abilities learn better compared low experimentation enhancing traditional methods. According mediation test, mediates outcomes.

Abstract The last two decades have witnessed a growing interest in developing and incorporating tasks technology-mediated settings. Correspondingly, task-based language teaching (technology-mediated TBLT) has established itself as distinct domain of TBLT research, exploring the benefits technology promoting task performance outcomes learning. This research synthesis intends to contribute this trend by focusing on one type – immersive virtual reality (VR). We conducted systematic search reviewed 33 primary studies (2014–2024) that adopted VR create tasks, then we assessed learning these tasks. In addition reviewing study features for general (e.g., target population, language, knowledge/skill area), evaluated VR-based instructional common characteristics pedagogical literature. Results showed majority are meaning-focused authentic, but they not sufficiently designed produce non-linguistic (outcomes beyond mere display linguistic knowledge skills).

Abstract In light of the growing enthusiasm in harnessing virtual reality (VR) for educational purposes, this study explores effectiveness integrating Engage Virtual Reality Learning App to enhance syntactic complexity oral performances among intermediate EFL students. A cohort thirty students was enlisted, divided into an experimental group 15 and a control 15. Initially, groups underwent homogeneity assessment utilizing Preliminary English Test (PET). During intervention phase, utilized speaking practice, while comparison received conventional instruction devoid VR-based components. The analysis employed descriptive statistics mean scores standard deviations, supplemented by one-way ANCOVA examine performance evaluate impact treatment. results unveiled significant enhancement proficiency terms complexity, underscoring affirmative influence App. These findings underscore potential augment authentic language experiences, foster sociocultural learning, stimulate cognitive engagement, yield affective benefits, contribute overall acquisition learners.
