Objective: The objective of this study is to assess the cognitive levels Bloom's taxonomy that are emphasized in teaching speaking skills and evaluate how students from diverse backgrounds Pakistani universities perceive advanced necessary for developing required workplace. Theoretical Framework: research's fundamental concepts theories based on Richards Rodgers' language model (2001). Method: This exploratory, case-based, qualitative collected data public private Islamabad. Data sources included HEC Functional English selected curriculum, interviews with teachers students, classroom observations. Results Discussion: results revealed improve students' abilities, HEC's curriculum should emphasize all domain outlined taxonomy. Currently, primarily focuses higher processing. must be revised include effective comprehension exercises tailored various across domains help enhance their skills. Research Implication: Taxonomy a valuable roadmap develop critical findings will assist designers curricula aligned professional development graduates. Originality/Value: contributes literature by filling gap examining workplace, which need highlighted within context.
