Rosa roxburghii Tratt pomace (RRTP), an underutilized byproduct, is rich in polyphenol compounds. This study aimed to further explore the purification, characterization, anti-inflammatory activities, and underlying molecular mechanisms of free polyphenols (RRTP-FP) bound (RRTP-BP) from RRTP. The results indicated that AB-8 macroporous resin emerged as preferred choice for subsequent separation purification. purities purified RRTP-FP (P-RRTP-FP) RRTP-BP (P-RRTP-BP) increased by 103.34% 66.01%, respectively. Quantitative analysis identified epigallocatechin, epicatechin, ellagic acid main phenolic compounds P-RRTP-FP. In P-RRTP-BP, primary were acid, gallic acid. vitro antioxidant assays demonstrated superior DPPH ABTS radical scavenging activities P-RRTP-FP P-RRTP-BP compared vitamin C. Treatment with reduced nitric oxide (NO) reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, mitigated decline cellular membrane potential, significantly downregulated mRNA expression pro-inflammatory cytokines inducible synthase (iNOS) lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages. Additionally, inhibited phosphorylation pertinent proteins nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-κB) mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathways. finding suggests potential utility RRTP-derived agents managing severe inflammatory conditions.

Abstract Tropical fruits are popular worldwide due to their appealing flavors and diverse health benefits. However, a significant amount of waste is caused by inferior that partly eliminated from the fresh fruit market by‐products produced during transportation, storage, processing. With increasing focus on environmental sustainability resource conservation, recycling resources tropical has emerged as hot topic interest. Fruit‐derived starch an emerging approach adding value for some fruits. This review article briefly overviews extraction methods, chemical composition, structural characteristics, physical properties, physiological benefits, modification techniques, potential applications new fruit‐derived starch. Compared with traditional starch, exhibits unique processing attributes, making it suitable supplement or replacement industrial in food industry. Moreover, retains rich nutrients functional components present extent, thereby offering benefits greater consumer acceptance. Although current research derived primarily at laboratory stage, there limited exploration its application, evolving lifestyle trends heightened awareness expected foster further development utilization, paving way large‐scale commercialization driving future growth.

Abstract Colon cancer (CC) is a prevalent malignant tumor of the gastrointestinal tract and ranks among leading causes death in patients worldwide. Cucurbitacin, group tetracyclic triterpenoids widely found Cucurbitaceae plants, exhibits diverse pharmacological activities. However, activity cucurbitacin C (CuC), derivative exclusively present cucumbers, remains unclear. To investigate CuC's action targets potential for CC, we utilized database to obtain relevant information. Additionally, identified differentially expressed genes CC from The Cancer Genome Atlas discovered 64 crossover formed through intersection drug‐disease targets. Through construction protein‐protein interaction network, 20 central genes. Enrichment analysis revealed that cross‐targets were significantly enriched four signaling pathways, namely, PI3K‐Akt, Ras, MAPK, IL‐17 pathways. Correlation expression led identification 7 key targets, which matrix metalloproteinases (MMP)‐1, MMP‐3, MMP‐13 demonstrated significant association with poor prognosis patients. Furthermore, validated network pharmacology results vitro vivo experiments. CuC can effectively inhibit proliferation migration HCT‐116. also suppress colon growth vivo, while reducing placental factor, MMP‐1, MMP‐9, both consistent predicted results. Together, our holds promise as agent treatment.
