Abstract The Covid-19 pandemic has been analysed and discussed from many disciplinary perspectives. An aspect that still needs critical exploration is the role—that is, modes forms—of regulatory interventions during pandemic. It interesting to note in this regard that, studies, measures are labelled “non-pharmaceutical interventions”, as if they do not have any specificity on their own only represent a theoretically residual category. main aim of article instead focus distinctive features normative such. As regards article’s focus, it centres first period pandemic—that 2020—with particular reference Italy. We chosen because most extensive severe restrictions introduced combat were established at time. And we consider Italy was country, after China, be hard hit by virus react draconian manner. methodology, based, general primarily, an interdisciplinary literature review. Abstract This article investigates the role of spatial dimension in formulation pandemic rules Italy, with a specific focus on municipal ordinances enacted Milan. Is it possible to visualize in an immediate and powerful way the indicators that measure sustainability of cities?While final answer is rather positive, process getting there quite complex dense with difficulties as illustrated this paper.The 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) constitute a fundamental apparatus for measuring observing Countries based on specific analysis systems, but without integration spatial tools Geographic Information Systems (GIS).Although potential latter capturing efforts toward sustainable development recognized by United Nations (UN), their use analyzing systems limited considering data operability issues terms temporal accuracy proprietary diffusion modes.This paper aims at bridging gap between urban GIS tools, testing SDG11 within Italian context.The research here investigates applicability such target 11.1 11.3 focusing case study, City Turin (Piedmont, Italy).In operational terms, implements open access WebGIS database providing new spatialized sub-indicators local scale.
