Abstract Recent evidence suggests that gut microbiota development during infancy impact several metabolic, immune and endocrine pathways in humans. An imbalance the diversity or function, also known dysbiosis, not only affect early child growth development, but linked with of chronic, non-communicable diseases later life. The CHAMP ( C hild H ealth A nd M icrobiome develpment study – P akistan) aims to longitudinally assess associated factors (maternal, demographic) childhood, populations residing malnutrition endemic communities Pakistan. prospective cohort mother-infant pairs (n=70) will be recruited from District Swat, Pakistan followed for two years. Complete information about demographic characteristics, anti-natal post-natal care, dietary intake feeding practices health collected at baseline 3, 6, 12, 18 24 months. Anthropometric measurements (height, weight, mid upper arm circumference head circumference), dry blood spot fecal samples collected. Ethical approval has been obtained Khyber Medical University is registered on clincaltrial.gov (Ref no: NCT05793294 ). finding help researchers understand its longitudinal infants first years
