This research explores the condition of coral reefs in Berau Regency, Indonesia, and impact human activities on these ecosystems. Coral are considered crucial assets supporting well-being local communities, especially context tourism fisheries resources. However, increasing economic growth around coastal areas have pressured reefs, threatening their sustainability preservation. study employs a descriptive method utilising primary secondary data interviews with relevant stakeholders. The findings reveal that Regency exhibit varied conditions, ranging from very good to poor. Threats include such as unsustainable fishing practices, use explosives fishing, development infrastructure. also underscores importance integrating environmental capacity into Derawan Island conservation destination. Collaboration among government, private sector, non-governmental organisations, communities is essential maintain reef ecosystems while communities.
