The aims of this study were to investigate the vertical distributions natural radionuclides 232Th, 226Ra and 40K as well anthropogenic radionuclide 137Cs in soil samples analyze correlation among radioactivity these physiochemical characteristics namely pH, grain size, carbonate content organic matter. Risk assessment radiological hazard has also been estimated. The sensitivity of a novel silica-based fibre-form thermoluminescence dosimeter was tested off-site rare-earths processing plant, investigating the potential for obtaining baseline measurements naturally occurring radioactive materials. dosimeter, Ge-doped collapsed photonic crystal fibre (PCFc) co-doped with B, calibrated against commercially available thermoluminescent dosimetry (TLD) (TLD-200 and TLD-100) using bremsstrahlung (tube-based) x-ray source.
