Maintaining indoor environmental quality in residential buildings is essential for occupants’ comfort, productivity, and health, with effective mechanical ventilation playing a key role removing or diluting pollutants. A two-week experimental campaign was conducted an apartment Lyon, France, known its poor urban air quality, assessing temperature, relative humidity, CO2, PM2.5 concentrations. model verification study performed to compare measurements against numerical modeling the living room bedroom, leading errors accuracy of sensors. In addition, this also investigates impact different strategies on quality. This research evaluates baseline exhaust-only approach constant volume two innovative smart approaches: humidity control room-level CO2 control. contribution novel coupling multizone simulation models (DOMUS CONTAM) CFD tool refine pressure coefficients building façade, which enhances predictions. The showed improvements, including 20% reduction concentration 5% third-quartile concentration, highlighting their effectiveness enhancing pollutant dilution. provides valuable insights into advanced techniques environments.
