Hemodialysis is one treatment option for end stage renal disease which does not cure the completely but increases patients’ span of life. It imposes a lot physical and psychological burden on patients. Identification factors protecting patients from these burdens needed. Recent studies have focused posttraumatic growth (PTG) as protective factor against distressing health outcomes. The aim this cross-sectional study to investigate occurrence PTG in maintenance hemodialysis examine its association with perceived social support resilience. A convenience sample 200 receiving was recruited two government hospitals Lahore, Pakistan. Data collected using Posttraumatic Growth Inventory, Perceived Social Support Scale, Trait Resilience Scale. Individuals undergoing showed high levels mean total score PTGI 60.1+ 11.5. (r = .79, p<.001) .51, were significantly correlated PTG. Hierarchical multiple regression indicated increasing age, longer duration hemodialysis, resilience be significant predictors (p<.001) explained 52% variance. results provide helpful information could used develop interventions transform their adversity into positive by improving support.
