Introduction. According to the recent sociological survey data, 77% of Ukrainians have felt stressed or very nervous, particularly those with manifestations post-traumatic stress disorder. Respondents name a full-scale war as dominant reason for this feeling. results conducted during first year invasion, 6% fewer respondents reported feeling stressed. Benzodiazepines are most commonly used class anxiolytic medications treating and anxiety. However, prolonged use is associated numerous risks. Anxiety disorder is a prevalent psychiatric issue that affects 4.05% of the global population. As complementary and alternative medicine gains popularity, many individuals with anxiety symptoms seek herbal remedies. This systematic review aims to explore sedative efficacy chamomile as an for treatment. Our search was conducted in PubMed, Google Scholar, Scopus databases until August 2023. Among 389 papers found, after removing duplicates irrelevant papers, 10 clinical trials investigating effect oral consumption on were included. Two researchers independently completed all steps, including screening process data extraction. Out articles selected, 9 studies have concluded effective reducing anxiety. Even though, exact mechanism chamomile's anxiolytic action not well understood, evidence suggests its active compounds, apigenin, may modulate function hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenocortical axis by affecting neurotransmitter pathways. showed potentially has effect.
