Despite
receiving
adequate
treatment,
many
tuberculosis
(TB)
survivors
are
left
with
post-tuberculosis
complications,
possibly
due
to
lung
tissue
damage
incurred
during
the
active
period
of
disease.
Current
TB
programs
worldwide
deliver
quality
care
throughout
course
yet
often
fail
provide
organized
follow-up
once
treatment
ends.
Post-tuberculosis
disease
(PTLD)
is
a
prominent,
underrecognized
cause
chronic
disease,
managed
similarly
respiratory
diseases
pharmacotherapy
and/or
personalized
pulmonary
rehabilitation
interventions.
Basic
packages
for
people
finishing
still
lacking
in
low-
and
middle-income
countries
(LMICs).
We
offer
study
protocol
evaluate
implementation
spirometry
symptom
screening
PTLD
among
who
have
completed
rural
district
Mozambique.
