This study investigates the growing issue of nomophobia, characterized by anxiety being without a mobile phone, in workplace. Utilizing broaden-and-build theory, this research examines impact supportive leadership, co-worker support, Human Resource Management (HRM) practices, and affective commitment on reducing nomophobia among employees. Data were collected from 393 employees across various educational organizations. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed to test proposed hypotheses. The findings reveal that leadership significantly reduces enhancing HRM practices commitment. However, contrary expectations, support found increase suggesting informal communication social interactions via devices might exacerbate smartphone dependency. emerged as critical factor mitigating more so than contributes literature highlighting complex dynamics workplace relationships offering practical insights for organizations aiming reduce improve employee well-being.

Background The advancement of technological devices in the workplace has changed way people work. Employees are equipped with various Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools to enhance their productivity ensure timely completion tasks. However, ICT also exerts pressure on employees acclimate these meet deadlines. This adverse phenomenon is referred as technostress. Objective study aims examine influence technostress employee engagement well-being, well analyze moderating effect perceived organizational support between engagement, Methods utilizes a quantitative research design applied SmartPLS program direct, indirect, total impacts independent variables dependent variables. was conducted sample 388 working private banking organizations across Telangana state India. Results study’s findings indicate that frequently entails an excessive workload perpetual connectedness, resulting considerable stress irrespective assistance. Elevated correlates decreased (−0.41) well-being (−0.39). role moderator insignificant. Conclusions this reveal substantial insights for firms mitigate by developing evidence-based interventions, fostering supportive work culture, equipping resource hubs.
