With post-secondary institutions increasing offerings of online courses, there is much to learn about how group work designed. This particular importance for professional certification courses where used develop skills needed prepare students their chosen field, such as K-12 education. As part case study research, the authors synthesize findings collected from both instructors and at Western Canadian offering in Bachelor Education degree pathways. Seeking understand can be designed build essential required teaching profession through course delivery, data was one survey, semi-structured interviews, documents. Findings suggest four design considerations work: (1) clearly articulate purpose work, (2) provide learner support presence, (3) intentional groups are established, (4) leverage digital tools collaboration. The results will serve benefit faculty, educational policy makers understanding learning critical skills. particularly providing fields.
