The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic prompted a profound reconsideration our approaches to teaching and learning. metaverse, blending 3D digital realms with intersection reality virtual landscape, has emerged as prospective frontier in education, offering substantial promise. Despite its potential, scant attention been devoted current research examining metaverse through lens marking it relatively unexplored domain. In this article, we commence by presenting conceptualizations delving into inception, definitions, common attributes. Subsequently, precise delineation an educational context is articulated, accompanied elaborate framework that undergoes thorough exploration distinctive features. We expound upon four conceivable applications elucidating rationale providing illustrative cases for each: blended learning, language acquisition, competence-based inclusive practices. Our primary discoveries indicate terms "education," "application," "metaverse" appeared highest frequency demonstrated interconnectedness. Abstract The metaverse is rapidly reshaping our understanding of education, yet identifying the public's beliefs, emotions and sentiments towards its adoption in education remains largely uncharted empirically. Grounded Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) Digital Diffusion Theory (DOI), this paper aims to fill gap using a big‐data approach machine learning scrape comments made by social media users on recent popular posts or videos related adopting from three prominent platforms. cleaning process narrowed down 11,024 4277, then analysed them thematic, emotion sentiment analysis techniques. thematic revealed that evokes complex range public beliefs: (1) innovative methods ; (2) accessibility inclusion (3) concerns about quality effectiveness (4) technological challenges digital divide (5) future work skills (6) privacy security .
