This study aimed to determine if academic burnout and family communication predict life satisfaction in Peruvian university students. The design was cross-sectional predictive, 708 students participated. Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), the Family Communication Scale (FCS), Satisfaction with Life (SWLS) were used obtain information on variables. Descriptive inferential analysis structural equation modeling Robust Maximum Likelihood Estimator. results present a negative relationship between significant estimate of −0.849 ( p < 0.001), beta coefficient β ) −0.469, positive Satisfaction, showing 0.436 0.420. La familia ecuatoriana se encuentra en cambios por diversas causas, más recientemente, la pandemia de COVID-19. Estas disyuntivas han perturbado dinámica y el bienestar mental los miembros del hogar, lo que afecta autoestima jóvenes. En este contexto, propósito esta investigación fue determinar relación entre comunicación familiar autoestima. Se empleó un muestreo probabilístico aleatorio simple, abarcó a 377 estudiantes universitarios. El estudio ubicó paradigma pos-positivista, con diseño no experimental enfoque cuantitativo, nivel descriptivo-correlacional naturaleza transversal. Los datos recolectaron mediante aplicación Escala Comunicación Familiar Padres/Adolescentes Autoestima Rosenberg. Entre resultados destacados, evidencia 47,5% mantiene alto sus madres, mientras 49,3% exhibe bajo respecto padres. Asimismo, 50,7% presenta una elevada, 25,2% muestra baja. Si bien identificó positiva autoestima, es importante destacar valoración magnitud baja, indica medida varía, también hace estudiantes, aunque manera limitada.
