Owing to the global increase in carbapenem and colistin resistance, several methods have been actively used for detection of these antibiotic-resistant bacteria. However, this emerging field still requires development more efficient practical diagnostic susceptibility tests rapid, simple, economic pathogens. Herein, we prepared phenotypic colorimetric antibiotic liquid agar forms consisting a natural biocompatible pH indicator called "anthocyanins" carbapenem/colistin resistance. The most innovative original part test, first time, uses plant indicators detect resistance within 2 h (hrs). Both commercial clinically isolated bacterial pathogens were colorimetrically detected by human eye h. These release acidic volatile compounds (AVCs) during their growth, resulting an reaction environment, which anthocyanin molecules protonated then change color tests. was analyzed smartphone platform mobile application provide quick, clear, semiquantitative results. We believe that will reduce workload laboratories with ease evaluation, contribute economy countries eliminating restrictions, be widely clinics.
