This chapter discusses the protective role of specific resilience-related psychological variables for healthy adolescent development in terms increasing well-being and positive resources. The topics self-development, emotional inter-regulation, self-compassion (sense common humanity, self-compassion, hyper-individuation), resilience will be addressed by discussing results a pre-post study conducted school setting with N = 400 students (mean age 15.47; SD 1.79) who participated neuropsychopedagogical training “Envisioning Future” based on Sphere Model Consciousness. Among other things, mediation model is presented, showing that self-efficacy managing negative emotions predicts through effect sense humanity. Thus, no longer just about not being overwhelmed but also connecting self others. perspective emphasizes goal strengthening relational behavioral resources to improve environment.

Covid-19 pandemic had a massive impact on adolescents. The present study illustrates an online survey administered to N = 861 Italian adolescents (mean age 15.81 years; females 58%), asking them about: (i) the most frequent negative emotions during pandemic; (ii) main sources of social support; (iii) whether they also experienced positive emotions; (iv) in which lifedomains emotions. results reveal that boredom, sadness, fear, and agitation as respondents reported family, friends themselves support. life-domains were: new discoveries self-awareness, inner growth, relational skills. This highlights has elicited resources (e.g., resilience, creativity generativity) adolescents, laying foundations for interventions, developmental educational psychology, are not top-down but bottom-up.
