Agriculture in high altitude regions is challenged by low temperatures, and the use of chemical fertilizers turned hazardous long run. In addition, cost-effective, eco-friendly biofertilizers developed globally are less effective cold due to temperature-sensitive mesophilic homologs. The current study evaluated potential a cold-adapted indole acetic acid (IAA)-producing bacterial consortium isolated from Ghulkin glacier, Hunza Valley, Pakistan, promote growth crop, wheat, under stress. Several IAA-producing bacteria were tested further for siderophore production, zinc-solubilizing activity, phosphate solubilizing ability utilize 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate nitrogen fixation. A microbial was constructed its effectiveness promoting wheat pot experiments ambient conditions (2°C-6°C at nighttime 15°C-20°C daytime) with diverse soil glacial flour matrices. showed positive plant attributes remarkable impacts on root length, shoot fresh, dry weight trials both garden flour. An increase chlorophyll content also observed soil. It concluded that multistrain Nocardiooides zeae GB3, Arthrobacter flavus GA9, Pseudomonas sp. GB29 may have as an efficient biofertilizer mountainous crops, Gilgit Baltistan region, Pakistan.

Maize, regarded as a staple economic crop, attracts special global attention with the aim to enhance its production. Foliar fertilisation offers complementary method traditional soil amongst resource-limited agricultural systems, providing more efficient solution nutrient deficiencies, especially in suboptimal conditions. This study aimed analyse foliar fertiliser formulation research directions and their application maize A literature search was conducted Web of Science (WoS) database. Bibliometric analyses were performed using VOSviewer software (version 1.6.17). The changes publication trends documents tested Mann–Kendall test. production effects independently synthesised. results showed strong positive increase regarding (R2 = 0.7842). predominant nutrients that affected nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium, zinc, iron, manganese. timely corrected deficiencies and/or sustained supply under several abiotic stresses. at critical growth stages like flowering grain filling boosted carbohydrate protein content, lipid levels, kernel size, mineral weight grain. review identified important gaps, namely genotype-specific responses, interactions other agronomic practices, long-term environmental effects.

Relevance. In recent years, we have seen an increase in the number of new bacterial fertilizers. New fertilizers must be effective, so it is important to select their qualitative and quantitative composition. It equally study effect these bacteria on number, dissemination long-term residence soil, as well effects plants. Aim Study. This work studies method obtaining a fertilizer containing Streptomyces coelicolor grown whey amount duration soil growth characteristics white mustard ( Sinapis alba L.) sown into after long time watering with fertilizer. Methods. The was diluted autoclaved, were this substrate. An inoculum for biofertilizer obtained two ways. first way: once Waksman`s media. second sequentially whey, gradually increasing volume. Bacteria cultivated without mixing or by temperature-controlled shaker. We studied containers laboratory. determined 0.5, 1.5, 2 4 months Seeds mustard. Results. cultivating growing streptomyces contained ten times more than another method. also effectively increased soil. from been preserved time. biofertilizers most effectively. This chapter explores the critical role of fungi in sustainable agriculture and stress mitigation, emphasizing their contributions to enhancing soil health, improving crop resilience, facilitating carbon sequestration. Fungi, particularly arbuscular mycorrhizal (AMF) various fungal biopesticides, offer innovative solutions for reducing reliance on synthetic fertilizers pesticides. Recent advancements biofertilizers demonstrate ability improve nutrient uptake disease resistance, while potential storage aids climate change mitigation. Despite promising applications fungi, challenges such as inconsistent efficacy, mass production limitations, regulatory barriers remain. Addressing these presents opportunities further research, policy reform, education optimize use agricultural systems. By harnessing diverse functions we can create more resilient practices.
