The Use of Digital Technologies and Learning in a Digital Environment: An Example of Students at the University of Novi Sad DOI Creative Commons

Analog learning environments are often combined with, or in some cases completely replaced by digital – a trend that has been particularly accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic. To gain insight into students’ perceptions, practices, and experiences regarding use of technologies environment, qualitative study was conducted employing in-depth interview techniques. The research sample consisted 14 students from University Novi Sad, with equal representation different fields: social sciences humanities, natural mathematical sciences, technical technological medical arts. By exploring perspectives, our aimed to contribute body post-pandemic period. results were interpreted within four sections, starting an examination broader context daily lives, including entertainment relaxation, communication connectivity, extending information learning. second section focuses on learning, while third is dedicated application environment teaching process. Following this, explores perceptions possibilities for coexistence models. Based reviewed literature research, conclusion drawn pandemic, as contextual factor, potentially influenced negative attitudes toward online education, given it case “emergency remote education” rather than planned education. On other hand, primary purpose using identified accessing materials.In this context, Open Educational Resources (OER) may increasing importance future. Although all report teaching, differences scope, frequency, manner their noticeable. Among variables studied, affiliation specific field found be more relevant participants’ responses compared gender average grade.

The implementation of distance learning requires considerable technical support and reorganization the entire education model, therefore in Republic Serbia, primarily higher institutions, a hybrid model is used, while smaller number institutes are accredited for learning. However, declaration state emergency by Government Serbia on March 15, 2020, along with decision to temporarily close all educational institutions due epidemiological situation caused COVID-19 virus, represented major challenge system country itself.The preparation most transition online teaching ran parallel itself, problems that inevitably arose were solved "on fly", so process would not be interrupted, but also order maintain quality took place under given conditions. This exploratory research examines the possibilities of applying new teaching approaches and working methods in acquisition Russian German languages pedagogical profession under specific conditions distance learning an online environment. The theoretical context which draft this is placed refers to elements theories that are basis self-regulation (Sternberg, Deci, Rijan, Bandura), among motivational aspects at top list. method systematic non-experimental observation, statistical analyses a substitute for experimental controls, seeks answers questions about advantages limitations foreign language learning. In research, convenient sample was used, consists 107 students Faculty Education, University Belgrade, with Teaching Departments Vršac Novi Pazar, Vocational Education Medical College Vršac. For purposes Likert-type questionnaire (PONUSJ) general assessment success using ICT, especially use ICT independent (German Russian) outside class, then skills adoption improvement very suitable, different forms work have proven be particularly interesting useful during teaching, as well classroom interaction assumed less suitable teaching. reliability instrument determined by Cronbach's coefficient satisfactory (a = 87).
