Cancer phototheranostics is a new mode of precise treatment based on fluorescent and photothermal imaging (PTI), combined with photodynamic (PDT) therapy (PTT). Herein, we designed photoactive Pt(IV) prodrug Pt-1 BODIPY-based triplet photosensitizer as an axial ligand that exhibits cytotoxic effects through both PDT photoactivated chemotherapy (PACT). Based the prodrug, developed multifunctional theranostic nanoplatform Pt-NPs PDT/PTT activity, capable light-induced cisplatin release suitable for tumor imaging. Upon 660 nm laser irradiation, efficiently causes regional hyperpyrexia, conversion efficiency 42.1%. Synergistically, acts type I agent.
