Through this narrative review, we attempted to summarize and dissect the multiple dimensions affecting youth sports participation in India, using current literature cover a broad spectrum of socio-cultural, economic, educational, policy infrastructure; physical health; as well media technology perspectives. The analysis reveals that engagement is significantly influenced by familial, peer, community dynamics, alongside cultural attitudes gender disparities. Economic barriers, including affordability accessibility facilities, pose challenges, particularly for marginalized communities. Educational institutions play pivotal role fostering but face challenges balancing academic pressures. Policy infrastructure deficiencies hinder participation, necessitating robust interventions community-based initiatives. Health considerations underscore importance managing injury risks promoting inclusive programs. Moreover, emerge powerful influencers, shaping behaviors towards sports. This review also emphasizes need nuanced further research more effectively reduce disparities ensure India.
