This study provides empirical evidence that CO₂ emissions from transport (total and by types) have an impact on countries’ logistics efficiency, both in general (Logistics Performance Index) terms of its individual indicators (volumes freight total investments infrastructure). The aim is to empirically demonstrate the different modes efficiency countries, specifically using data 60 International Transport Forum (ITF) member countries. Granger causality analysis, based VAR modeling for six periods evaluated World Bank (2007, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018), demonstrates 50% changes are cause shifts Logistics Index (increasing can impede efficiency). sample was reduced these countries regression modeling. Regression (with fixed random effects, Hausman test, 2002–2021 panel which direct confirmed) showed a one-unit increase CO2 (in air transport) associated with 0.12 0.21 decrease infrastructure. An road 0.49 (ton-km per thousand units GDP). rail 0.15 infrastructure transport.

Improving the energy efficiency of buildings is a major priority within context European objectives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 55% 2030 and achieve climate neutrality 2050. Nearly Zero-Energy Buildings (nZEBs) offer promising solution significantly consumption promote use renewable sources. There significant gap in scholarly literature regarding systematic reviews focused on advancements legislation related efficiency. Consequently, this paper aims provide comprehensive synthesis key legislative norms targeting necessity utilizing sources for electricity generation, with particular focus forecasts year 2030. The objective valuable reference resources support global expansion nZEB implementation sustainable resilient manner. This research thoroughly evaluates development nZEBs, emphasizing design concepts, technological innovations, their impact An analysis main barriers highlights high costs, limited feasibility, regulatory constraints, insufficient stakeholder engagement. purpose review building trajectory from passive zero-energy buildings.

The relationship between environmental policy stringency and the shadow economy is a critical issue, as stringent regulations can either formalise economic activities or push businesses into informality. This study aims to analyse how different types of policies influenced size across 24 countries from 2003 2020. uses panel data regression techniques, including Fixed Effects Random models, evaluate impact market-based policies, command-and-control regulations, taxation on informal activities. results indicate that overall negatively correlated with economy, one-unit increase in reducing by approximately 2.18 percentage points. Market-based such carbon trading schemes financial incentives, are more effective informality than regulations. However, high taxation, particularly sulphur oxide taxes, associated an suggesting excessive regulatory costs may incentivise tax evasion operations. highlights importance balancing incentives governance reforms ensure both sustainability de-shadowing.
