BACKGROUND
The
rapid
integration
of
artificial
intelligence
(AI)
in
healthcare
is
transforming
hospital
operations
and
administrative
processes.
In
this
context,
human
resource
(HR)
managers
are
increasingly
challenged
to
incorporate
AI
skills
into
workforce
competencies
support
both
clinical
functions.
However,
investigation
HR
managers'
subjective
perspectives
remains
lacking.
OBJECTIVE
To
explore
on
mandating
as
essential
competencies,
with
a
focus
identifying
perceived
benefits,
challenges,
strategic
approaches
for
effective
implementation.
METHODS
A
qualitative,
phenomenological
research
design
was
employed
across
two
tertiary
hospitals
Beijing
Sichuan.
Purposively
sampled
participated
semi-structured
telephone
interviews,
which
were
audio-recorded,
transcribed,
analyzed
using
Colaizzi's
method
extract
core
themes
subthemes
regarding
competency
requirements.
RESULTS
Fifteen
between
January
15
February
9,
2025,
including
8
from
7
participants
aged
34-52
years
(mean=42.3).
interviews
33.9
minutes

25-49
minutes).
Findings
reveal
dual
perspective
among
managers:
while
they
recognize
the
inevitability
adoption
its
potential
future-proof
enhance
patient
care,
significant
systemic
barriers
exist.
Challenges
such
outdated
infrastructure
varying
levels
readiness
identified.
Participants
advocated
role-specific,
phased
training
pathways
collaborative
integrating
skills,
rather
than
enforcing
uniform
mandate.
CONCLUSIONS
From
managers,
there
tension
recognizing
AI's
inevitable
role
healthcare's
future
acknowledging
immediate
implementation
universal
advocate
strategic,
that
account
limitations,
disparities,
need
role-specific
skill
development.
