The learning process is a crucial element in education that includes the teacher's efforts creating an atmosphere and providing support so activities can run well. Education equips students with various skills to face challenges changes. Socratic Questioning strategy approach focuses on in-depth question answer dialog encourage students' critical, analytical, evaluative thinking. This study aims evaluate implementation of improving critical thinking determine effectiveness this learning. type research qualitative case approach, involving 40 at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta as resource persons. Data collection techniques were conducted through questionnaires interviews, then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. results showed majority gave positive responses application strategy, 53.77% agreeing 26.65% strongly agreeing. proved be effective helping develop skills, strengthening their ability organize arguments systematically, increasing engagement class discussions. provides practical implications for lecturers more productive interactions improve quality
