Hepatoblastoma (HB) is the most common malignant liver tumor in children under five years of age. Although globally rare, it accounts for a large proportion cancer and has poor survival rates high-risk metastatic cases. This review discusses molecular mechanisms, diagnostic methods, therapeutic strategies HB. Mutations CTNNB1 gene activation Wnt/β-catenin pathway are essential genetic factors. Furthermore, syndromes like Beckwith–Wiedemann syndrome (BWS) Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP) considerably heighten risk associated conditions. Additionally, epigenetic such as DNA methylation influence non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), pivotal drivers development. Diagnostics include serum biomarkers, immunohistochemistry (IHC), imaging techniques. Standard treatments chemotherapy, surgical resection, transplantation (LT). Emerging therapies immunotherapy targeted offer hope against chemotherapy resistance. Future research will prioritize personalized medicine, novel molecular-targeted to improve outcomes.
