Purpose: To assess seasonal variations in infant colic (IC) prevalence and explore the association between climate factors, including temperature, air pollutants, their interactions, with IC.Methods: Medical records of 1955 infants aged 0-3 months from October 2021 to September 2022 were analyzed, IC diagnosed according Rome IV criteria.Seasonal differences compared using chi-square tests.Climate data, weekly averages PM2.5, PM10, NO2, CO, O3, AQI, along 1-, 2-, 4-week lags, collected via web scraping.Interaction terms temperature pollutants (including lagged variables) created.Variance Inflation Factors (VIF) addressed multicollinearity.Pearson correlation assessed linear relationships, while Generalized Additive Models (GAM) evaluated non-linear associations. Results: The overall was 38.62%.Demographic analysis showed no significant without IC.Seasonal revealed differences, highest winter. After Bonferroni correction, spring (34.52%) winter (43.60%) differed significantly (p < 0.0083).Linear indicated weak associations interactions (correlation coefficients: -0.05 0.03).GAM confirmed these findings, individual factors explaining only 0.002 deviance 0.007.No meaningful relationship identified. Conclusion:This study identified prevalence, rates observed winter. However, or found interactions. These findings underscore need for future research non-climatic factors.

Abstract Background Appropriate infant and young child feeding (IYCF) plays a crucial role in promoting the healthy growth of children. Currently, many Chinese urban parents are seeking care children from early childhood education (ECE) institutions, however, little is known about practices infants ECE institutions. This study aims to investigate complementary for aged 6–23 months institutions explore potential factors influencing their practices. Methods cross-sectional was conducted among primary caregivers across 31 provinces China 1 March 30 April 2023. Convenience sampling used recruit centres Gymboree Play & Music (an institution). Self-administered questionnaires were designed using online survey tool Sojump distributed through WeChat platform, which collected information on 1) children's practices; 2) food frequency seven groups; 3) caregivers' knowledge 4) attended classes daily nurturing time; 5) source feeding. Results A total 2731 surveyed, with 416 6–11 2315 12–23 months. The prevalence minimum dietary diversity (MDD), meal (MMF), acceptable diet (MAD) 59.4, 60.6, 39.2%, respectively. Only 17.3% believed that continued breastfeeding should be at two years or above, 29.5% continuously breastfed (CBF). proportion non-responsive ranged 28 64%. Except CBF, other key higher who attending than those not (all P < 0.05). Moreover, received long-nursing time (≥4h/d) had significantly MMF MAD short-nursing group (MMF = 66.2 vs. 58.8%, 0.0003; 44.2 38.3%, 0.0047). Conclusions remained suboptimal, common. attendance could beneficial ensuring comply recommendations.

Although tummy time is recommended as a form of physical activity for non-movable infants worldwide, little known regarding the current status practices among Chinese infants. Early childhood education (ECE) institutions provide children with rich learning experiences; however, in these ECE were unclear. This study aimed to investigate within context institutions.
