Preeclampsia (PE) is a serious condition characterized by new-onset hypertension and proteinuria or organ dysfunction after the 20th week of gestation, making it leading cause maternal fetal mortality worldwide. Despite extensive research, significant gaps remain in understanding mechanisms underlying PE, contributing to ineffectiveness current prevention treatment strategies. Consequently, premature cesarean sections often become primary intervention safeguard health. Emerging evidence indicates that placental insufficiency, driven molecular disturbances, plays central role development PE. Additionally, microbiome may be implicated pathomechanism preeclampsia secreting metabolites influence inflammation oxidative stress, thereby affecting Given limitations pharmaceuticals during pregnancy due potential risks concerns about teratogenic effects, nutraceuticals provide safer alternatives. Nutraceuticals are food products dietary supplements offer health benefits beyond basic nutrition, including plant extracts probiotics. Their historical use traditional medicine has provided valuable insights into their safety efficacy, for pregnant women. This review will examine how adoption can enhance dysregulated pathways, potentially offering preeclampsia.

Background. Pregnancy represents a unique immunological and physiological period during which microbial communities can have significant impact on both maternal health birth outcomes. Hormonal, immunological, metabolic changes pregnancy influence the microbiome clinical outcomes, potentially impacting well-being of mother child. Objective: generalization modern scientific concepts about relationship between composition mother’s microbiota its complications, discussion possibility predicting complications using microbiome. Materials methods. An extensive literature review was conducted MEDLINE (PubMed) database as December 2024 with following keywords filter: randomized controlled trial, meta-analysis, systematic review. Research results: Extensive research links dominance certain Lactobacillus strains to different L. cripatus being most favorable strain. Only by existing in normal symbiotic organism is it possible maintain homeostasis. Any shift balance this system leads growth opportunistic flora, turn triggers cascade disorders. GDM, PCOS, premature — these conditions features vaginal microbiocenosis. Conclusion. The female reproductive tract intestine dynamic influenced number factors. More evidence suggests that dysbiosis associated various adverse Knowledge has potential improve accuracy diagnosis, develop targeted interventions, reduce risk perinatal complications.

As the world faces an escalating challenge of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), with phenotypes ranging from allergic chronic immuno-inflammatory to neuropsychiatric disorders, it becomes evident that their seeds are sown during early stages life. Furthermore, within only a few decades, human obesity has reached epidemic proportions and now represents most serious public health our time. Recent demonstrations growing number these conditions linked aberrant gut microbiota composition function have evoked active scientific interest in host-microbe crosstalk, characterizing modulating at-risk circumstances. These efforts appear particularly justified critical period developmental plasticity when child’s immune, metabolic, microbiological constitutions lend themselves long-term adjustment. Pregnancy infancy epitomize ideal juncture for preventive measures aiming reduce risk NCDs; by promoting pregnant lactating women today, next generation(s) may be successfully improved. The perfect tools this initiative derive earliest massive source environmental exposures, namely microbiome nutrition, due fundamental interactions host immune metabolic maturation.
