Abstract
The
evolution
of
complete
reproductive
isolation
hinges
on
the
cumulative
action
isolating
barriers
that
can
manifest
throughout
life
cycle

organism.
Consequently,
a
comprehensive
understanding

origin
and
maintenance

requires
assessing
relative
contributions

Given
the
interest
in
biogeography
and
diversity
of
Caenorhabditis
genus,
we
established
a
collection
these
nematodes
from
field
surveys
on
four
Indonesian
islands.

60
strains

to

species.

Evolutionary
transitions
between
sex-chromosome
systems—
which
change
the
chromosome
that
determines
sex,
system
heterogamety,
both—are
frequent
