Rural livelihoods sustainability in South Asia and Africa: a systematic review with bibliometric analysis

The study explored rural livelihood sustainability in South Asia and Africa through a bibliometric analysis systematic review approach. purpose of the was to identify trend scholarly discourse, dominant themes that have attracted interest over past decade, shed light on emerging opportunities for enhancing sustainability. carefully selected 139 articles sourced from Scopus, Web Science, Google Scholar, other institutional websites. Our findings revealed noticeable growth output decade identified some scholars with noteworthy contributions. Notably, it found impact climate change, drought, poverty, food security livelihoods has largely dominated investigations period. However, potentials pyrolis, biochar, dryland forestry were be underexplored. In these insights, we recommend community develop much less areas equally hold great potential livelihoods. We also programming by policymakers must seek integration indigenous knowledge tailored strengthen resilience households against perils change weather variability.
