In 2015, there was a high influx of refugees to Sweden, creating an extreme situation where individuals were forced remain in large housing facilities for long periods. The present study aims describe the mental health and quality life these individuals.Data, based on 510 individuals, obtained by means questionnaire at open screenings conducted or nearby refugee facilities. Of participating refugees, 367 asylum seekers 143 had received residence permit but still awaiting more permanent solution. included measures depressive symptoms (PHQ-9), anxiety (GAD-7), risk having post-traumatic stress disorder (PC-PTSD), (WHOQOL-BREF).Of total sample, 56-58.4% reported clinically significant levels depression, PTSD. The conflict in Syria is a big humanitarian emergency. More than 200,000 Syrians have been killed, with more half of the population either having displaced or immigrated. Since the beginning of Syrian humanitarian crisis, Syrians sought refuge in many safer countries. Many aspects refugees' lives have been affected, hence affecting overall quality their lives. However, only one study has investigated life (QOL). The aim this was to assess QOL refugees residing outside camps Jordan and compare it Jordanians other populations around globe.Data were obtained from Jordan, two Jordanian groups; low socioeconomic status (LSES) average (ASES) 2017. A total 661 Syrians, 208 LSES 714 ASES Jordanians, aged between 18 75 years included. World Health Organization Quality Life instrument (WHOQOL-BREF) questionnaire used as assessment tool. Analysis Variance "ANOVA" post hoc Tukey-Honest tests find differences means questions three groups (Syrians, ASES, LSES). Stepwise multivariate linear regression performed for each domain determine most associated risk factors.No significant difference found physical health domain. scored significantly lower than psychological social relationship higher environmental all domains, with its scores above average.Despite support provides refugees, they still seem suffer poor health, relationships below 50 on (0-100) scale. Abstract Background Forced migrants can be exposed to various stressors that impact their health and wellbeing. How the different stages in migration process impacts is however poorly explored. The aim of this study was examine changes self-rated (SRH) quality life (QoL) among a cohort adult Syrian refugees before after resettlement Norway. Method We used prospective longitudinal design with two assessment points Lebanon accepted for gathered baseline data 2017/2018 subsequently at follow-up one year arrival. main outcomes were good SRH measured by single validated item QoL WHOQOL-BREF. generalized estimating equations investigate over time incorporated interaction terms models evaluate effect modifications.
