Abstract This systematic review explores the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in early diagnosis Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and related dementias. A total 20 studies from recent years were analyzed, focusing on various AI techniques such as deep learning, neural networks, feature engineering. The utilized datasets AD neuroimaging initiative OASIS, showcasing AI’s potential detecting early-stage with high accuracy. However, challenges variability methodologies, limited generalizability, lack real-world validation identified. Ethical concerns need for model interpretability also highlighted. Despite these challenges, models demonstrate promising capabilities improving diagnosis, but further research is needed to standardize approaches ensure clinical applicability. underscores importance integrating tools into healthcare settings enhance detection treatment strategies AD.
