The Lattes Platform (PL) is an essential resource for Brazil's scientific and technological landscape, centralizing researchers' curricular information facilitating the management of data. However, lack rigorous standardization in data entered compromises efficiency retrieving analyzing this information, limiting academic knowledge management. This study investigated limitations PL proposed a solution that integrates new technologies to optimize research was conducted two main stages: systematic literature review on applied PL, case at Federal Institute Acre (IFAC). included analysis 79 articles survey software records National Industrial Property (INPI). In study, semi-structured questionnaires were administered IFAC staff understand their needs perceptions regarding PL. results reveal significant demand tools automate extraction integrate with other systems. INPI highlighted solutions can enhance PL’s efficiency. integration Artificial Intelligence (AI), exemplified by LattesAI, emerges as promising overcome platform's current limitations, automating processes personalizing innovation not only optimizes but also strengthens position global promoting greater collaboration educational institutions. Future studies should focus developing AI algorithms specifically ensuring its continuous evolution response demands environment.
