In the past decade, issue of trauma has gained significant attention in psychological and medical research. Advances psychophysiology, neuropsychology, psychotherapy have greatly improved our understanding progression consequences trauma. Treatment methods for now boast a high success rate. Trauma psychotraumatology are especially critical emergency services. Recognizing nature applying principles early intervention can considerably reduce its long-term negative effects (Goldstein et al., 2024). Additionally, how trauma—sometimes from long ago—affects current physical health clarify behaviors often seen as maladaptive, such excessive anxiety, heightened sensitivity to pain, uncontrollable anger, substance addiction, or self-harm. BACKGROUND: While there is extensive empirical support and clinical guidance for the treatment of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) individually, less known about treating comorbid presentation both conditions. The breadth and volume of research exploring the complexities childhood trauma in Early Childhood Education Care (ECEC) environments has grown significantly recent years, yet, little is known about this trajectory an Irish context. Consequently, purpose current study was twofold: (i) consult with influential figures wider ECEC domain to access expert knowledge on provision awareness education Ireland (ii) gain invaluable insights into knowledge, training, experiences professionals working settings. Utilising a qualitative methodological approach, eight semi-structured interviews sector representatives (i.e., IV Group) six focus groups managers (n = 8), room leaders practitioners 8) FG were conducted as explorative processes investigate presence ECEC, if any, factors supporting/hindering discourse from perspectives diverse stakeholders Ireland. Results revealed that challenged by dearth relevant educational opportunities during both Initial Practitioner (IPE) Continuous Professional Development (CPD) pathways, absence neuro-informed practice among Group. Contrastingly, while Group demonstrated trauma, these participants identified need for government investment, training reform, (iii) professional considerations.
