Oral delivery is the most commonly used route of drug administration owing to good patient compliance. However, gastrointestinal (GI) tract contains multiple physiological barriers that limit absorption efficiency conventional passive systems resulting in a low concentration reaching diseased sites. Micro/nanorobots can convert energy self-propulsive force, providing novel platform actively overcome GI for noninvasive and treatment.In this review, we first describe microenvironments different compartments tract. Afterward, applications micro/nanorobots active are highlighted discussed. Finally, summarize discuss challenges future prospects further clinical applications.Micro/nanorobots with ability autonomously propel themselves load, transport, release payloads on demand ideal carriers oral delivery. Although there many be addressed, have great potential introduce new era precision therapy.

Abstract Liquid metal motors are unconventional transformable machines whose motion control is important for microfluidics, drug delivery, and small‐scale robots. Without an external field, aluminum‐fueled liquid can achieve autonomous propulsion, but the random direction limits their applications. Here, study reports a fundamental discovery of directionally reversing such through rotating magnetic field tuning approach. Systematic experiments reveal that motor overcomes irregular Brownian volume limitation metals in control. Depending on its volume, exhibits three different responses: moving opposite to magnet smaller volumes, spinning place at medium sizes, with larger ones. This phenomenon attributed interaction electromagnetic remote inductions, electrochemical reactions, fluid dynamics.
