This paper introduces an origami metastructure (OMST), which realizes the conversion of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) to absorption (EIA), and liquid crystal adjustable curvature sensing (CS) function using EIA. The OMST consists upper resonator (resonator 1) a lower 2). Resonator 1 achieves EIT phenomenon when 0–2 THz is excited by electromagnetic wave (EMW), transparent window appears at 0.883 THz. When 2 introduced, phase regulated changes peak 0.998 THz, value 0.937. uses flexible material polyimide, injected between resonators layers nematic (HTW114200-100). used on cylindrical surfaces CS measure their curvature. In initial state, EMW incident, resonance frequency from 1.006 corresponding absorptivity 0.937 0.650 (from 0.924 0.613 in bias state). Regarding CS, can be for detection micrometer class, with range 0–0.02 μm. maximum measurement sensitivity 32.230 (33.690), quality-factor 41.859 (40.840). Traditional usually made optical fiber, but because fragility fiber sensors, it difficult directly apply various objects. Flexible colloidal quantum dot (QD) optoelectronics apply the superior properties of QDs to flexible devices, exhibiting unique advantages in fields imagers, solar cells, displays, wearable sensors, on-skin electronics, robotics, and bioimaging. Here, we show that QD photodiodes (QDPDs) with an ultrathin absorber layer have record bending stability 100,000 repetitive cycles devices. The QDPDs obtained a high-quality p-n junction 1700 rectification ratio. formation Fabry-Pérot cavity by layered stack results 3.4-fold enhanced light absorption, while structure ensures near-unity efficient extraction (97%) photogenerated charge carriers from PbS film upon illumination 1330 nm short-wavelength infrared light. The transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy (RE) sources is an essential step in mitigating climate change and ensuring environmental sustainability. However, large-scale deployment of renewables accompanied by new challenges, including the growing demand for rare-earth elements, need recycling end-of-life equipment, rising footprint digital tools—particularly artificial intelligence (AI) models. This systematic review, following Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, explores how lightweight, distilled AI models can alleviate computational burdens while supporting critical applications systems. We examined empirical conceptual studies published between 2010 2024 that address energy, circular economy paradigm, model distillation low-energy techniques. Our findings indicate adopting significantly reduce consumption data processing, enhance grid optimization, support sustainable resource management across lifecycle infrastructures. review concludes highlighting opportunities challenges policymakers, researchers, industry stakeholders aiming integrate principles into RE strategies, emphasizing urgent collaborative solutions incentivized policies encourage low-footprint innovation.

Artificial microstructures, especially metamaterials, have garnered increasing attention in numerous applications due to their rich and distinctive properties. Starting from the principle of multi-beam interference, we theoretically devised a beam configuration consisting six symmetrically distributed coherent beams generate two-dimensional microstructures with diverse shapes unitcells under different polarization combinations. In particular, split-ring metamaterial template is achieved two adjacent circularly four linearly polarized such single-step holographic interferometry. Furthermore, simulation results show that orientation shape unitcell can be accurately adjusted by controlling position, degree, or power ratio beams. The optimal parameters produce high-quality contrast higher than 0.97 are obtained. These provide useful guidance for effective low-cost fabrication metamaterials unitcells.
