Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) is a highly recalcitrant organic pollutant, and its bioaccumulation severely endangers human health. While various methods are developed for PFOA removal, the targeted design of adsorbents with high efficiency reusability remains largely unexplored. Here rational synthesis two novel zirconium-based metal‒organic frameworks (MOFs) bearing free ortho-hydroxy sites, namely noninterpenetrated PCN-1001 twofold interpenetrated PCN-1002, presented. Single crystal analysis pure ligand reveals that intramolecular hydrogen bonding plays pivotal role in directing formation MOFs hydroxy groups. Furthermore, transformation from to PCN-1002 realized. Separating CH4 from coal bed methane is of great importance but challenging. Adsorption-based separation often suffers low selectivity, poor stability, and difficulty to scale up. Herein, a stable scalable metal–organic framework [MOF, CoNi(pyz-NH2)] with multiple binding sites was reported efficiently separate the CH4/N2 mixture. Due its suitable pore size sites, it exhibits excellent selectivity (16.5) uptake (35.9 cm3/g) at 273 K 1 bar, which comparable that state-of-the-art MOFs. Theoretical calculations reveal high density open metal polar functional groups in pores provide strong affinity than N2. Moreover, CoNi(pyz-NH2) displays structural stability can be scale-up synthesized (22.7 g). This work not only provides an adsorbent also important inspiration for future design preparation porous adsorbents separations.

Abstract The efficacy of radiotherapy (RT) is limited by inefficient X‐ray absorption and reactive oxygen species generation, upregulation immunosuppressive factors, a reducing tumor microenvironment (TME). Here, the design mitochondria‐targeted digitonin (Dig)‐loaded nanoscale metal‐organic framework, Th‐Ir‐DBB/Dig, reported to overcome these limitations elicit strong antitumor effects upon low‐dose irradiation. Built from Th 6 O 4 (OH) secondary building units (SBUs) photosensitizing Ir(DBB)(ppy) 2 2+ (Ir‐DBB, DBB = 4,4′‐di(4‐benzoato)−2,2′‐bipyridine; ppy 2‐phenylpyridine) ligands, Th‐Ir‐DBB exhibits RT‐radiodynamic therapy (RDT) via potent radiosensitization with high‐Z SBUs for hydroxyl radical generation efficient excitation Ir‐DBB ligands singlet production. Th‐Ir‐DBB/Dig releases in acidic TMEs trigger disulfidptosis cancer cells sensitize RT‐RDT through glucose glutathione depletion. released simultaneously downregulates multiple immune checkpoints T cholesterol As result, Th‐Ir‐DBB/dig plus irradiation induces immunity effectively inhibit growth mouse models colon breast cancer.
