Abstract We demonstrated that the combination of a Pd(0) catalyst and water‐soluble TPPMS ligand has high activity for direct arylation readily available allylic alcohols in Tsuji–Trost type cross‐coupling. Various organoboron reagents can be applied, enabling rapid access to corresponding arylated products with wide range functional group tolerance. Kinetic studies revealed first‐order rate dependence alcohol, boronic acid, CsF Pd(0)/TPPMS concentrations. A Hammett study found slightly positive ρ value 0.79, suggesting partial negative charge is generated on aromatic ring aryl boronate rate‐determining transmetalation step. Based several control experiments, we concluded employing would proceed via oxo‐palladium mechanism.

Abstract Metal coordination polymers are widely applied in the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds due to advantages highly dispersed metal active sites, low cost and strong designability. Herein, employing 9‐benzyl‐3,6‐di( 1H ‐pyrazol‐1‐yl)‐ 9H ‐carbazole (BPC) as a ligand, cadmium‐coordinated polymer compound (Cd‐BPC) was facilely prepared by solvothermal method characterized energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS), flourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission microscopy (TEM) X‐ray photoelectron spectrometry (XPS). Employing Cd‐BPC catalyst, 1,5‐benzodiazepine derivatives were produced with relatively high yields through reaction o ‐phenylenediamine ketones, alcohols. Additionally, could be reused for at least 5 times without significant decrease.

A coordination polymer Ni-CIA has been designed, synthesized, and characterized via Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), photoelectron spectrometry (XPS), energy-dispersive (EDS), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA). The resulting reveals a slice layer stacked combination structure good stability. Importantly, this exhibited high catalytic activity for the synthesis of oxindole quinoline derivatives borrowing hydrogen dehydrogenation reactions. Meanwhile, several control reactions were carried out to investigate possible mechanisms transformation. Finally, results recycling experiment indicate that could be recovered reused at least five times.
