ABSTRACT Objective The molecular features of the alterations in integrity and function periodontal vasculature associated with initiation/progression lesions have not been well elucidated. Methods This study used a nonhuman primate model experimental ligature‐induced periodontitis across lifespan to profile transcriptomic responses related vasculature/endothelial cell biologic activities. Results In healthy tissues, genes representing EGF receptor signaling, VEGF angiogenesis pathways showed some age effects. Disease initiation and/or early progression led major changes expression large number vascular/endothelial correlations groups. Specific bacteria (e.g., Veillonellacease , P. gingivalis Fusobacterium ) were highly correlated gene CCL2, CXCL1, EDN2, OCLN, PLAT, SELL, TGFB2). Overall differential analytics identified that disease process appeared as controlling factor regarding transcriptome. Conclusions supports processes are observed tissues lifespan, more substantive occurring during progression. patterns supported critical arising gingival would contribute persistent nature immunoinflammatory response this disease.
