Osteoarthritis (OA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) are chronic progressive inflammatory joint diseases that affect a large population worldwide. Intra-articular administration of various therapeutics is applied to alleviate pain, prevent further progression, promote cartilage regeneration bone remodeling in both OA RA. However, the effectiveness intra-articular injection with traditional drugs uncertain controversial due issues such as rapid drug clearance barrier afforded by dense structure cartilage. Nanoparticles can improve efficacy facilitating controlled release, prolonged retention time, enhanced penetration into tissue. This review systematically summarizes nanoparticle-based therapies for RA management. Firstly, we explore interaction between nanoparticles joints, including articular fluids cells. followed comprehensive analysis current designed OA/RA, divided two categories based on therapeutic mechanisms: direct nanoparticles-based delivery systems. Protein and peptide drugs are predominantly administered by injection to achieve high bioavailability, but this greatly compromises patient compliance. Oral transdermal drug delivery with minimal invasiveness adherence represent attractive alternatives administration. However, oral administration of bioactive proteins must overcome biological barriers, namely the gastrointestinal skin respectively. The rapid development new materials technologies promises address these physiological obstacles. This review provides an overview latest advances in protein delivery, including chemical strategies, synthetic nanoparticles, medical microdevices, biomimetic systems for administration, as well enhancers, physical approaches, microneedles delivery. We also discuss challenges future perspectives field a focus on innovation translation.

Over the past decade, nanopesticide has been developed rapidly for exploring effective and safe alternatives to conventional pesticides with significant drawbacks risks. Many nanotechnologies, including pesticide nanoemulsions, polymer-based nanopesticides, metal/metal oxide nanoparticle-based have emerged are extensively reviewed. Engineered silica nanomaterials (ESNs) also shown promising potential as carriers in nanopesticides modern agriculture. However, there limited reviews specifically on ESN-based nanopesticides. Herein, we provide a comprehensive review recent progress of technologies. An introduction synthetic technology, formation mechanism, surface engineering technology is firstly presented. Then, advantages formulation their structure-function-relationship illustrated detail. Finally, our perspectives challenges future research development discussed.

Dendritic mesoporous silica nanoparticles (DMSNs) are a new class of solid porous materials used for enzyme immobilization support due to their intrinsic characteristics, including unique open central–radial structures with large pore channels and excellent biocompatibility. In this review, we review the recent progress in research on using DMSNs different structures, namely, flower-like tree-branch-like DMSNs. Three DMSN synthesis methods briefly compared, distinct characteristics two types effects catalytic performance immobilized enzymes comprehensively discussed. Possible directions future also proposed.

Abstract Facile and controllable synthesis of functional yolk@shell structured nanospheres with a tunable inner core (‘yolk') mesoporous shell is highly desirable, yet it remains great challenge. Herein, xx developed strategy based on temperature‐regulated swelling restricted asymmetric shrinkage polydopamine (PDA) nanospheres, combined heterogeneous interface self‐assembly growth. This method allows simple versatile preparation PDA@mesoporous silica (MS) exhibiting architectures pore sizes. Through reaction degree confined PDA the volume ratio hollow cavity that occupies can easily be tuned from ca. 2/3 to 1/2, then 2/5, finally 1/3. Owing presence excellent photothermal conversion capacity, PDA@MS nanocomposites yolk distributions become colloidal nanomotor propelled by near‐infrared (NIR) light. Noteworthily, half microcracks in reaches 2.18 µm 2 s −1 effective diffusion coefficient (De) 1.0 W cm −2 NIR temperature‐controlled approach may provide new insight into design facile PDA‐based for wide applications biology medicine.
