Introduction. Despite significant advancements in materials for permanent restorations, there is still no material that fully replicates the physical, chemical, and biological properties of dental tissues. Contemporary research adhesive dentistry focuses on achieving a reliable durable bond between restorative substrates. This paper aims to present recent innovations technology focused improving challenging dentin. Currently, several key strategies address this issue, including application collagen cross-linkers, antioxidants, inhibitors endogenous proteinases, reinforcement with inorganic fillers remineralization agents, modifications bonding techniques, substrate treatment using lasers. Conclusion. Current knowledge experimental findings suggest modern methods modifying dentin can achieve satisfactory initial bond. However, degradation interfacial contact surface remains challenge, compromising long-term durability restorations.
