Abstract This article examines how environmental awareness, stakeholder pressure, circular economy orientation and internal barriers influence practices in international non-international micro-firms. For this, we utilised fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) using data from 128 micro firms operating different manufacturing industries Estonia. Three paths were identified for explaining internationally micro-firms two it that do not operate internationally. Our results show understanding the impact of four before-mentioned aspects can be beneficial engaging efforts both The intricate five pathways (three non-international) through which orientation, shape micro-firms, challenging conventional understandings offering nuanced insights effective engagement sustainable business practices. Based on findings, theoretical practical implications this study directions future research are discussed.

The aim of this work is to delve into the phenomenon circular economy (CE) enhance understanding contextual factors that foster its development. We study how countries' cultural values, regulatory frameworks and rates entrepreneurship, affect transition more economies. model proposed tested through a binomial logistic regression analysis sample European small medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), shows such firms are likely adopt CE actions when located in entrepreneurial societies, with individualistic feminine less stringent environmental regulations. ABSTRACT Compliance with the 2030 agenda is forcing small and medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs) in European Union (EU) to transition from linear circular business models, boosting adoption of economy ( CE ) activities. More information needed know stage these companies. Therefore, objective this study evaluate implementation patterns nine activities by EU SMEs explore relationships between characteristics companies terms economic activity ownership. To end, we used a sample 13,322 EU, using Latent Class Model identify correspondence analysis relate SMEs. The results show that activities, five involvement can be identified, being systematically independent each pattern. It was also demonstrated highest probability engagement are those dedicated service established more years ago, high growing turnover, which invest most their turnover annually sell products or services multiple final destinations. This contributes demonstrating essential dynamic capabilities become must incorporated into pattern implementation, not other but follow specific involvement, invariably interdependent relation patterns.
