Purpose This paper focuses on the commitment of a leading Middle Eastern country – Saudi Arabia to United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG13, climate preservation. aims investigate determinants greenhouse gas emissions by examining their correlation with economic growth, population renewable energies, forest area, digitalization and monetary policy. Design/methodology/approach research observes (GHG) potential influencing factors during 1990–2023. It employs autoregressive distributed lag model (ARDL) after testing stationarity variables. Findings The findings show that gross domestic product (GDP) percentage individuals using internet rents are significant carbon oxide (CO 2 ) emissions. Purpose This study aims to examine companies’ socially responsible behaviors by studying the relationship between different proxies of corporate environmental responsibility (CER) and earnings management (EM) with emphasis on pro-environmental behavior business ethics domain. ABSTRACT As the urgency of global sustainability goals intensifies, achieving responsible production and consumption (RPC) has become a critical priority, especially in emerging markets where economic growth must be balanced with environmental stewardship. Businesses play pivotal role advancing sustainability, understanding how governance practices influence RPC is essential for aligning corporate strategies objectives. This study investigates circular economy innovations stakeholder engagement moderate link between indigenous directors RPC. Using secondary data from 439 manufacturing firms across MENA countries 2012 2022, we employed method moments quantile regression (MMQR) fixed effects estimations, addressing endogeneity through GMM modeling propensity score matching techniques. Our findings demonstrate that significantly enhance all quantiles. Additionally, not only advance but also amplify positive on sustainable practices.
