Hippomarathrum scabrum L. is an endemic medicinal plant in Turkey; however, there have been few studies investigating the phytochemistry and biological properties of these plants has not investigated. The aim this work to determine chemical composition different extracts (extracts obtained by using supercritical carbon dioxide extraction, accelerated solvent homogenizer‐assisted microwave‐assisted ultrasound‐assisted extraction from L., evaluate their properties. analysis revealed that 5‐ O ‐caffeoylquinic acid, rutin, isorhamnetin 3‐O‐rutinoside were main bioactive compounds. extract contains highest concentration ‐Caffeoylquinic acid (7616.74 ± 63.09 mg/kg dry extract) followed (6682.53 13.04 extract). In antioxidant tests, all expressed significant activity. Also, cytotoxic anticancer effects detected human prostate cancer cell line. Intrinsic apoptotic genes up‐regulated anti‐apoptotic down‐regulated cells after inhibition dose treatment. findings are promising, suggest use could be used as natural sources with activities, well agents.

Hypericum perforatum L. (St John's wort), although primarily utilized in traditional medicine, is also frequently employed modern therapy. Within the scope of study, H. was collected from Kahramanmaraş region and dried. Extracts derived above-ground parts were analyzed to determine their levels total phenolic flavonoid compounds, as well antioxidant, anticancer antimicrobial properties. Following GC-MS analysis extracts, a 18 distinct fatty acids identified. The main acid components identified behenic (37.90 %), linoleic (21.22 gamma-linolenic (15.87 oleic (9.45 %) palmitic (7.64 %). plant extracts found have content 60.22 mg GAE g-1 7.68 µg QE g-1, determined through analysis. Additionally, FRAP IC50 values 26.96 AAE 0.44 mL-1, respectively. activities investigated among 11 microorganisms, including 9 bacteria 2 yeasts. It has been observed that possess significant activity against all tested microorganisms. dose-dependent inhibition organisms. killed cancer cells at concentrations 0.1 mL-1 above on H1299, MCF-7 HUVEC cell lines.

This study assessed the impact of full and late flowering stages on polyphenols enzyme inhibitory properties Hypericum perforatum from Poland. Recognizing significance phenolic compounds in disease prevention melatonin’s emerging protective role, we employed an UHPLC-MS/MS system to quantify 38 compounds, not typical St. John’s wort, develop a new method for melatonin quantification. Afterward, extracts were tested their antioxidant capabilities (using phosphomolybdenum, DPPH, ABTS, FRAP, CUPRAC ferrous chelating assays). Moreover, investigated enzymes (acetylcholinesterase, butyrylcholinesterase tyrosinase) involved neurodegenerative disorders (α-amylase α-glucosidase) diabetes. recognized importance explored role melatonin, taking into account floral ontogeny plant. Indeed, full-flowering plant contained greatest concentration (a total 65,276.5 µg/g): hyperoside (18,726.59 µg/g), isoquercitrin (11,895.02 µg/g) delphindin-3.5-diglucoside (10,619.51 showed highest activity. only wort (40 ng/g). Our results offer additional perspectives chemical-biological characteristics H. scientific knowledge that testifies considering growth conditions development nutraceuticals.

Abstract Arum elongatum has various bioactive compounds including phenolic acids and flavonoids that may have beneficial effects on human health. The main objectives of this study were to determine the profile A. plant together with total (TPC), flavonoid contents (TFC), antioxidant capacities infusions throughout gastrointestinal digestion. samples used in present obtained from two cities (C1 C2) Türkiye. According results, while primary found sample C1 vanillic acid (51.29 ± 2.61 ng/mg), p ‐coumaric (48.36 2.84 ng/mg) O‐ coumaric (156.02 0.67 ng/mg); chlorogenic (50.63 0.65 scutellarin (144.34 0.74 (53.34 0.97 major C2 showing differences between different locations. In addition these, although both TPC TFC values for infusion (2960 104 mg GAE/100 g 397 50 CE/100 g, respectively) be higher than C1, there no significant results after intestinal digestion ( > 0.05). Besides, bioaccessible fractions these didn't show a difference 0.05), whereas (202 21%) presented value (143 12%) their value. Our indicated potential herbal tea due its rich content, making it suitable substitute widely teas.
