In this study, the palladium-catalyzed aminocarbonylation of 1-iodoisoquinoline was accomplished in presence various amines. While reactions with simple primary and secondary amines were carried out by using well-known Pd(OAc)2/PPh3 catalyst, application lower basicity (e.g., aromatic amines) or more difficult structures amino acid methyl esters, nortropine, diethyl (α-aminobenzyl)phosphonate) required use bidentate XantPhos ligand to achieve complete conversion short reaction time (2–8 h). way, several valuable isoquinoline-1-carboxamides synthesized chemoselective carbonylation isolated good high yields (55–89%). Furthermore, model compound also investigated three biomass-derived solvents (GVL, ethyl levulinate, 2-MeTHF). After comparing outcome DMF above green solvents, similar reactivity observed, justifying that they could be considered a feasible alternative medium.

Abstract Cyrene, a renewable, non‐toxic substance having negligible vapor pressure, even at high temperatures, was proposed as reaction medium for homogeneous Pd‐catalyzed Heck‐coupling reactions. It first characterized by its temperature‐dependent physicochemical properties, i. e., density, surface tension, heat capacity, and viscosity, the key parameters of process chemistry. Its refractive indices in function temperature were also determined. Hereafter, effect (Pd source, nature base, water content mixture, leaving group (−I, −Br, −Cl, −OTf aromatic substrates) on investigated using iodobenzene styrene model substrates. Subsequently, 4‐substituted derivatives applied to investigate electronic efficiency functional tolerance. To demonstrate applicability system, thirteen stilbene isolated with good yields purity (>95 %) 0.2 mol % Pd, 1.5 eq. Et 3 N 1 mL Cyrene 2 h 100 °C.
